Noel Fielding Sketches
Have I lost my mind? I'm not quite sure. I've just started sketching Noel Fielding in my free time at work. He has such a striking face. I love it. I think I need to stop drawing Noel, but I am going to do some Mighty Boosh fan art in the near future (yay Golden Week!).

Illustration WIP
I've been chatting with my friends about my portfolio and through them I came to the realization that I have very little pieces that show environments and "concept art" style work in my portfolio. I decided I'd fix that and start working with more detailed work. This week, it's my goal to work on these two pieces. Here are the sketches.

Alice In Wonderland Shirt Design
Another shirt to add to the collection! This one will be going up on Redbubble alongside my 99 Red Balloons shirt! This was vectored in Adobe Illustrator and sketched and mocked-up in Adobe Photoshop (model photo by Threadless). I've always been in love with Alice (see: buttons) and now that I've gotten into making shirts, it's only fitting I honor my Lolita idol once more.

PS- PLEASE go vote on my 99 Red Balloons shirt on Designbyhumans. Link is here: http://www.designbyhumans.com/vote/detail/97575/

Portrait Sketches
I'm finally starting to work on the Mega64 portraits again. I decided not to do them traditionally and to just go ahead and do them in Photoshop and Painter like I did my last self- portrait and the Jhonen Vasquez portrait. Below are the finalized sketches. I still haven't flushed out the backgrounds yet, but I have some ideas.

Thesis Environments
The start of my first environment. I have all of my color studies and loose sketches laid out for each piece so far. It is just a matter of drawing the tight sketches, inking and coloring them all now. This is the first half.

Senior Portrait
Alright, so here is the progress of my senior portrait. This is how I work in Corel Painter. First, I start off with my drawing in photoshop. I tweek it to my liking. Then I take the image into Corel and start rending using the artist oils and soft blending stump.

Thesis Process
So, some people have been wondering how I work and although I wrote up earlier how I do it, I decided that it would be clearer if I took pictures of the process.
First, I find really good reference. Sometimes I take it myself, sometimes I use stock photos on deviantart.

Next, I work up some sketches that are about 2- 3 times larger than the final print. I then scan those in and print them on watercolor paper.

I then paint in the flat colors and start to render. You can see a finished rendered piece behind my cup of water. The turn- around in the front has only the flat colors. I'm painting these in gouache.
Then, I go in and render some shadows and highlights in and re-scan in the painted pictures.
After scanning everything in, placing all of the images into one document and resizing everything, I add a textured background.
The final step is adding the line-work, doing some touch-ups, and adding textures! I will put the final piece up shortly!

Commission Work
These are the tight sketches I've been working on for a 3 part commission. It is a Halloween themed anthro snow leopard woman. I'm really digging these.

Pokémon! My top 6
Alrighty! I have several mild obsessions in life. One of which, is cute, adorable things. Pokemon falls into this category (except for the bug pokemon... most which are just creepy). So, my friend Sara, decided for her open assignment at the end of the year, she wanted to draw herself with her 6 pokemon (should or could she ever be a pokemon trainer). After seeing the outcome, I decided this was a more than fantastic idea and wanted to do my own drawing, with me and my top 6! In order my top 6 are: Vaporeon, Dragonite, Suicune, Ninetales, Rapidash, Alakazam.
Here is the preliminary sketch:
